January through February

Well, January 2011 has come and gone.  During the month of January we celebrated Seth and Austin's birthdays.  We purchased a new/used car, we maintained are sanity while having 4 or 5 snow days.  I think we have had snow on the ground since Dec. 1.  It is pretty cool (pun intended).  Dad (Jack) is building a desk in our bedroom so he can more effectively work from home.  Mom (Jayne) is still trying to figure out the purpose of life.  Scott and Roberta are working away at graduating and keeping Logan alive.  Jeni and Ryan are waiting the birth of Claire, due March 2.  Seth continues to do well in New Zealand, (at least as far as we can tell).  Katrina is doing well enough in school and had an enlightening experience making cupcakes.  Nick is still home, home-bound schooled and home due to an unfortunate expression of frustration.  Austin is learning that having a cell phone is not an unconditional thing, that it is a privledge not a right.  Levi is holding his own as long as the cat dogs are all safe.  Anna is doing well in school even though she hates it.  All in all life is good we are looking forward to a fun Valentines day........and a new baby too.

December 16, 2010 First Blog Post!

So, Jeni has been begging me to start a family blog. I need some way to keep family memories, so I thought I would give this a try.  (She does not even know I am doing it.  I'll show her once I have it all figured out.)  I have a camera, and new charging cord so I can now post our family pictures.  If I don't loose anything I will be all set!

Today I we are getting ready for Scott, Roberta, and Jack Logan's Christmas visit.  (Or at least I am supposed to be getting ready for them, I am on the computer right now.)  It will be so fun to have almost everyone together again. If only Seth could fly home just for a day or two then go back to New Zealand where he is serving the Lord.  Oh well, two Christmases from now everyone should be home.

Home is always an interesting place.  We are never quite sure where it is or where it will be but as long as we are together we are home.  Right now we live near Hamilton, Ohio.  Previously we lived in St. David Arizona. We/I love being back in the "mid-west" with seasons and snow.  I think most of the children also love being here as well. 


Here is where I should post some pictures of us in Ohio.  I will on another day, when I have learned how.  For now I just wanted to get this up and going just to say I did.
